----------------------- Feedback from Stan ------------------------------------ Hello Venom, How are you? I'd like to point you to some of my 3D games. Of which VGFX got me on the way initialy. I'm a long time programmer in Pascal, (24yrs from the Netherlands) that got stuck when Windows became the norm, so I was quite happy when some years ago I discovered Free Pascal, and VGFX. By now some of my windows games are at reasonable/respectable state, so thought I'd invite you to take a look : www.geocities.com/tasteofinsanity81/stanspage My games use the Fpcx dll, that I learned how to use through your Vgfx units. The 3Dcode/engine is my own, along with the drawingroutines. (drawing the polygons, lines, font, crappy textures, etc. All based on my old DOS programming. But modernised here and there. It's old fashioned type software-rendering ofcourse.) Unlike most other graphics these days I don't use very fancy lightingtricks etc. But focus on having a high polygon-count. So my 3D graphics look like crap. :( But a high enough polygoncount can compensate a little.. My pride is my 3D shooter "Shape of chaos". The version on my website was released September last year, that's already a long time, so there's a much improved version on the way. (with explosions, selectable screenresolutions, sound, more missions and maps, improved menu, several types of enemies, etc.) So, I'd like to thank you for inspiring people like me, and goodluck with your own projects. (You've plenty, I noticed. :) ) Greetings Stan ----------------------- Feedback from a math teacher in Hungary --------------- Hi, I'm Zoltan Kovacs, a math teacher in Hungary. A pupil from my school wrote a great math program using your library, VGFX. You can check it on http://simson.ini.hu, this software is free of charge. I'd like to port his program under Linux. Unfortunately, VGFX is not available under Linux yet, as far as I know. Are you planning to port it under Linux or Unixish OSes? Yours sincerely, Zoltan -- Kova'cs Zolta'n assistant teacher at Bolyai Institute kovzol@math.u-szeged.hu http://www.math.u-szeged.hu/~kovzol ----------------------- Feedback from an unknown email contact Dawid ---------- Oh and Just for The Record im 14 thus i dont understand asm or the file foramt -crap- but i will try and undestand it Dawid PS - I drawed 3000 Sprites To the Screen on one time (3000 units) which were all alpha and i got a frames per sec of 50(while still Doing all the strategy calculations at once) thus ur asm code is very fast - Thanxs Man ----------------------- Feedback from an unknown email contact ---------------- [...] Ihre VGFX-Unit für Freepascal bereitet mir viel Freude. Endlich mal Windows ohne Windows-Kenntnisse programmieren. [...] ----------------------- Feedback from Piet from Belgium ----------------------- I love your work. Thanks Piet Belgium ----------------------- Feedback from Attila Incze ---------------------------- Hello there..........! We've downloaded your vgfx unit and it's very good. We managed to understand how to use it. Now we downloaded the vgfx 3d unit, but it's a little complicated because there isn't any comment for it. Please send me an e-mail how to use it, what is the viewers coordinates, and so on... However we're only 15 years old, we're not a beginner in 3d programming. Thank you if you waste time for us. Attila Incze and Balazs Voneki Hello! Thanks for sending us (Balazs Voneki and me) a little help for your 3d software. If you have a little time, please read this out: I'm now starting writing a game, named Mink 2, and i use your vgfx unit. It's fantastic! Attila Incze
